Trouble in 'system console'

Hello,

When I opened my model I found a list of errors (FIG1), I close the ‘system console’ and run the model then I find no errors (FIG2) !

I am really confused. I didn't even pay attention to those errors in the version of my model I saved. Now, I don't know if they still exist or not.

Regards.

@sara S2,

Anytime an error occurs in the model and appears in the System Console, that message will stay there until you clear the text in the System Console window or close the window. Once you've cleared or closed that window, the errors will come back and the window will re-open if the errors were not fixed and they remain in the model. In other words, if you closed the window and you have run the simulation (at least as far as the times indicated in the errors shown) without the errors coming up again, 95% of the time this means that the error has been resolved.

So, the steps to check for errors are:

1) Clear/close the System Console window

2) Run the model

3) Verify that no new errors cause the System Console to open

Hope this helps. Let us know if you were looking for something else.

Of course, this is all based on the premise that you have made changes to your model in the time between model runs.

@tanner.p, thank you very much for your reply.

When I close the 'system console', save the model and run it again I don't obtain any error, even if I didn't fix the errors I found. When I keep the 'system console' and just clear it and run the model again I obtain those errors. This means those errors still exist in the model even if they don't appear when I close the 'system console'.

The other problem is that some of those errors seem to be not logic; they are related to a ‘very’ previous work-step in my model but they didn't appear when I was working on it. So I am wondering why they appear now (in the final version of my work).

I really would like to know if this could happen and it is normal, because I am very confused. Before I fix those errors, I need to make sure that they are logic.

Regards.

@sara S2,

If the model results seem feasible and the errors aren't causing any obvious problems, you are probably okay to use the model in my opinion. Maybe others would say differently.

Would you be able to upload the model so we can look at what's happening? If not, then I just recommend analyzing the errors to see if they point you to anything that might need fixing.

The errors are not causing any problems and the simulation results are correct. But I will try to fix them anyway.

@tanner.p, thank you very much for your help.
