Can the positions of the objects in FlexSim model be locked?

I need to pass my models to other persons, who are not familiar with using FlexSim, for running simulation. But I found many cases that they moved the objects in the models carelessly and it resulted in error.

I wonder if it is possible to lock the positions of the objects? Or if the problem can be avoided in any other way?

Dear Vogel,

Thanks, it works. May I ask one more question? When I've checked "Ignore Objects", I cannot click on any object and, therefore, cannot check any label of them. Is there any way that I can still check object's label when those object would not be moved by user?

There are two steps necessary to move objects.

  1. Highlight
  2. Move

I have given you an answer to ignore objects to get selected (highlighted), thus I prevent the second step. You want step 1 be available but not second step. Yes, that is possible for each single object if you set it as Protected in General tab or in right mouse button context menu Edit > Protected, if it is highlighted.

You can select more object with shift key pressed and set Protected in context menu.

I think Protected is not an option for AGV paths and control points, but I may be wrong.

Hi @CH L,

The Ignore Objects activitae option will not let you click on anything. If you still want to be able to click on 3d objects to see their stats, you will need to protect them individually:
