Add a new process flow

Hi! I have a problem with my model. I need to create the clinic opening activity (machine start up) before the patient enters in the clinic (so before the patient flow). For the opening activity flow i created a new process flow in which all the staff turn on their machines (for example the technician turns on the MRI machine). The problem is that the opening activity works correctly but then the patient flow does not start. How can I solve this problem?

Can you send us your model to look at? Without your model or a sample model of the problem you are having, it would be very difficult to give you a definitive answer to your specific problem.

Patient Flows "start" because of two things working in concert:

  1. A "Create Patient" activity in a General Process Flow creates a patient and links it to a specific Patient Flow as defined in the "Patient Flow" field on the Properties window of the "Create Patient" activity.
  2. The Patient Flow begins with a token getting created in a "Schedule Source" used at the top of the Patient Flow.

If you've done this, and still don't know why the patient flow is not "starting", then please send your model as Jeff suggested!
