Process Flow Variable Pin to Dashboard

I'm trying to put a chart on a dashboard that displays the current value of a process flow variable. The variable value updates correctly when I open the "view variable" window but not when I open the statistics window of the variable or when I pin the variable to a dashboard. How can I make the current value of the variable appear in a dashboard? I've replicated the issue in a simplified model and attached it.Graph Process Flow Variable.fsm

Here's something that at least give you the current value until someone can get the rest of the stats for you
