Hello @Seung Yong Seo, because it is something your customer doesn’t see, then he or she should try to solve it as a graphical problem.

Hi @Seung Yong Seo, was Phil BoBo's answer helpful? If so, please click the red "Accept" button at the bottom of their answer. Or if you still have questions, add a comment and we'll continue the conversation.

Did you have a chance yet to test running as administrator, as described in my comment?

The Q&A Graphic issue describes a similar problem.

This turned out to be a permissions issue. Try running FlexSim with higher privileges - right click and choose Run as Administrator.

Did that solve the problem?

@Phil BoBo & @Jörg Vogel

Thank you for your answer. When I had received this issue from customer, I also thought it to be a graphical issue. and I guided him to check his graphic card driver updated and sent these answers page linked above like your answers.

And he had updated his graphic driver program but the issue has happened in his TWO PCs. Same troubles in two PCs. One is desktop and the other is note-book. Complete same issue.

I describe more detail about his status...After delete FlexSin in Control Panel and re-installation FlexSim, the first running FlexSim, the input fields all is good, no problem.

But after he made a example model and exit in FlexSim and then when run again FlexSim, the blocked issue happens again and again. The problem happens in his TWO PCs with same.

His next trouble shooting as my suggestion was removing the security check program of memory resident one by one. But these program was not the reason.

I could not visit his company office because of COVID19. But I will visit his office with the new ready notebook with only Windows and FlexSim installed and will try to test with full condition case by case. Yes. I should purchase and make a ready a new note book because the notebook into the inside of the company's office should be formatted according to his company's security policy when it exit to out.

I want to hear your good idea to solve my issue and good trouble shooting method.

P.S

The captured Graphic setting 'Generic' shows the trouble to be same with 'Recommended'.

Hi @Seung Yong Seo,

Though the Q&A that Phil linked to had the headline "Graphics Issue", it was not actually related to graphics hardware, software, or settings.

Instead that issue was a permissions issue on the DLL used in creating text fields. From Phil's answer at that link:

The symptoms seem to indicate that the Scintilla dll (FlexSim\program\SciLexer.dll) is being blocked by something. Running as an administrator also resolved the issue for the other user.

Have you tried running as administrator? My guess is that when you run the first time after an installation, it is still running under the installer's admin privileges, which is why it works. Then subsequent tries with the software, when it is running under normal permissions, are failing.

Please have your client try right-clicking the FlexSim icon and choosing Run as administrator. Let us know what you find.

Ok, then we expect a detailed description of hardware, system and driver version, as it it is stated in the article to help you or your customer. The problem with windows is that there exists two currently valid driver versions. One version is a Windows supported and the other is a gpu manufacture recommended version. They both can be different. A group policy can set the driver version to be valid only if it is distributed by Microsoft. But this must not be the actual newest available driver version of the manufacturer.

We don’t know what other emulation and virtual desktop drivers are involved. And we don’t know if the system meet the required hardware components. Please post some data to provide a better view to this subject. And it is probably a good idea to ask such questions as private questions!

The more detail ...

After the first installation FlexSim and run it, the fields are not blocked. All is OK. But from the second running, the partial fields are blocked like an attachment. The desktop and notebook show the same issue. After uninstallation FlexSim in two PCs and reinstallation it again and when he run FlexSim first, FlexSim is OK without any issues. But after exiting FlexSim and run again it, the trouble happens.

Windows 10 is installed in both of desktop and notebook.
