Can 1 queue have both outbound and inbound functions?

Can 1 queue achieve both inbound and outbound functions?

I've been trying different combinations,

For example, the time of a specific morning is inbound,

The afternoon and evening are outbound,

or mix, depending on the order,

And there can only be 1 item on the queue,

Does this require table or process flow?

If it is depending on time, you can use down and resume function of time tables. If you control input of queue then do it n On Entry or On Exit as trigger or event in Process Flow.

If you want get evaluate a cascade of several closing actions right, you are probably better of with properties stop / resume for objects.

You can try to use Port By Case in the Send and Pull fields such that you pull and send to/from 1 or 2 depending on the time of day. You can either put expressions in those fields to decide the time for every item, or use a label that is set on some timetabled event. When switching from one port to another you should probably open the inputs of the queue to force the pull reevaluation.
