Another error in Acquire Transport

@Jeanette F helped me with this problem Here. But when I got back to the model and inserted a Push to List activity after the Pull from List activity in the Prep set of activities, I'm having the same type of problem. I'm trying to learn to use Lists so any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks

Could you provide some more details about your model? I don't quite understand what you are trying to accomplish by using the lists.

Hello @Tee Hiett,

The push to list activity will keep tokens on the activity until the value pushed to the list is pulled from the list. This is a feature to help with synchronization. However, that is not always desired. In your case, I do not think it is. You will want to check use max wait timer and keep entries on list

I think you will also want to push the gurney label back onto the list of available gurneys when you release the gurney at the end of your patient flow.

Thanks @Felix Möhlmann for your request. I'm not sure what I'm doing either so I am trying to explain what I envision to myself. I'm not even sure this will work.

Thanks @Jeanette F for your answer. I will give it a try and get back to you later. Right now I invite you to look at my attempt to explain what I envision.

As you can see in the JPEG file attached that there are three primary areas in this process: the Prep Bays, the Procedure Bays and the Recovery Bays. The program begins with clean gurneys in the Prep Bays and the Recovery Bays and in the PrepGurneyAvail list and the RecoveryGurneyAvail List.

The arriving patient is moved to the first clean gurney in an unoccupied Prep Bay. The gurney from the Prep Bay is moved from the PrepGurneyAvail list to the PrepGurneywithPatient list.

After preparation, the gurney with the patient is moved to the Procedure Bay specified in the patient’s label. At this time, an available gurney from the Recovery Bays is moved to the first available bay in the Prep Area and moved from the RecoveryGurneyAvail list to the PrepGurneyAvail list.

After the Procedure, the gurney with the patient is moved to the first available Recovery Bay and moved from the PrepGurneyWithPatient list to the RecoverGurneyWithPatient.

After Recovery, the patient leaves the model and the gurney is cleaned in the Recovery Bay. The gurney is moved from the RecoveryGurneywithPatient list to the RecoveryGurneyAvail list.

Hello @Tee Hiett,

I have implemented lists to accomplish what you have asked. The token pulls and pushes the gurney from/to lists to show at what stage the gurney is being utilized. When the gurney is first pulled from available prep gurneys I assign it to another label so that the same gurney is pulled from the lists later on. I also use lists to assign the prep bays and recovery bays to so that there is a proper rotation of gurneys. Please review the model and let me know if you have questions with how something functions.

Looking good. I'll get back to you when I've had time to digest what you have accomplished.

Thanks.

Aquire Gurney.jpg

The error I'm getting is not with the Push to List but with the Acquire gurney. As you can see in the attached JPEG file, the two tokens have already pushed the two gurneys onto the list and are waiting for the Acquire Gurney so we can move on in the process.

I cannot figure out what is keeping the tokens from moving on to the Acquire Gurney activity.

Thanks for any help with this

At what time are you experiencing this? If I run to completion then there are none waiting at that point in PCT Prep.
