How to make operator to the aisle that in font of the rack location to pick?

Hello, In this model, operators will be assigned pick tasks after generate the item on the rack.

picktoparts-0414-kh.fsm

The problems to be improve:

1.When operator doing the pick job, I notice through that the operator just travel to the front of rack to pick item. But in general, operators will travel to the aisle front of the rack, then pick item.

In order to do this operation, I add A*->Preferred Path to the aisle, But it does't look like a effective way.

2.Besides the situation above, I also found when operators are traveling on the same road, they would be overlap and cross others. It's much closer to practice if the operator behind can wait for the operator in front to move before moving forward or change the direction of route.

According to the problem, my goal is shown below:

1.

2.2wait-for-the-operator-in-front-to-move.png

I have read the flexsim tutorial and try to solve above problem, but it doesn't worked.

Is there any smart way to do this operation?

@Kevin-Hsiang, have you found the warehousIng demo model? This model has got all your requested answers so far, perhaps in a slightly different variation. Currently you request an answer for address scheme mapping.

The manual describe parameters, which are involved in this design in Bay and Level Progression of What are FlexSims Warehousing tools.
Here is a link to Warehousing Demo Model.

Yes, I have referenced the link to the demo model. Maybe I didn’t understand enough about the tutorial, I'll be familiar with the content! Thanks for giving me the advice.

You tell the picker to Travel to the rack without picking, so it's no surprise they go the the closest part (the front first). Remove the travel and just let them pick.
