TE Flow item - connecting to a dispatcher?

I created a new flow item of type TE in the FlowItem bin, and as part of the configuration I assigned it to a navigator, in this case A*. However, when I create an item using a CreateItem activity in process flow, the resulting TE is still assigned to the default navigator.

How can I either get the TE to be created attached to the A*, or attach the TE to A* after creating using code?

(Note that while I am using A* now, later versions of the model will probably use AGV constructs once the design settles down.)

Hello @Craig DIckson,

When I created the objects in AStarNavigator or an AGV control point the TE was assigned to the correct navigator. I used the dropper next to the field to select the objects.

In the case of the AStarNavigator, the TE will be created at the model origin, so you will probably want to use a move object activity following it to place the TE in the desired location.

Yes, that worked, thanks.

I'm not sure why you can choose a Navigator when creating a new TE in the FlowItem bin though, since I needed to do this instead. But since this works I won't worry about it...

When I use a 3D source the TE keeps the assigned Navigator. However, Create Object activity uses the Destination field to decide what Navigator to use.

Interesting. Honestly, maybe it's because I pre-date modeling in 3d, (SIMAN was my first simulation package!) but it never occurred to me to create TEs with a 3D source. I guess that does make some sense though. Thanks!
