Your items are placed into your rack by a logic. Then an item, which is temporarily stored in temporary area, must only get through this process of placing new products.

Instead of finding the 'reserved' slot on level 1 just find the closest empty or non-full slot and move it there and leave it there. For that you need the findSlot actitvity or command which is documented in the manual.
