I am trying to add a color palette to a user custom library I am creating. I haven't see the option for doing that, so I was wondering if that is actually possible or if there's any workaround.
Having it as a drag-and-drop object or as an automatically installed feature will do it fine.

You can use the dropscript method to copy just about any node into the model tree when the respective library icon is dragged into the model.
Attached is an example library that contains the "Viridis" palette as a dropable object. You can inspect the tree of the custom library to see the necessary node structure.
