Rotated custom model

Hi guys i got a problem,

every time I insert my visual model, the model rotates. Then I have to manually rotate it back via shape factor. I tried multiple formats (step, obj, gltf. etc.) but the result is always the same.

Can you help me with this problem please?

Thank you so much !

You have 3 options (at least):

1) Reorient the shape in another 3D tool (some exports also have the option to choose which axis is up : Z or Y).

2) You can put these values in a text file in the same location as the .obj for FlexSim to apply the correct factors as described here. Name the file "Part Studio 1.xbj"

3) Or you can save (and subsequently reload) the the manually corrected visuals (a .t file) using the Visuals GUI's Save option:

This is the nature of coordinate systems. You assume that a coordinate component is equal in all systems. It is not. Before you start to design a part, you should test which orientation is imported by your goal system. Then there are lesser steps in an interface to make it look right.
