FlexSim Webserver Version selection

Hi,

I would like to select FlexSim Web Server version. Is it possible to install multiple versions on the same machine and choose which version to run?

You can probably install multiple versions under IIS and use the port number to differentiate.

I've tried installing two different versions of the webserver, 2022 and 2024, in different directories on the same computer. It's just the standalone executables, without IIS or anything. I was even able to set up shortcuts for both.

FlexSim WebServer 2024 still works fine (I installed it first), but I couldn't get 2022 to work. I don't know if it's because 2024 was already installed and there is a conflict with having both, or if it's a separate issue with 2022. The command prompt will appear briefly for 2022, and then die quickly. I feel like I've seen a similar issue before on an older version of the webserver (maybe 2022?), on an older computer - maybe with a component not installing or running correctly. But I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot it at all.

If you do want to try doing something similar and it works for you, you should be able to open either version just like they are two separate applications.

On my PC too, when I install webserver24.1.0 first and then webserver22.2.0, the command prompt appears for a short time and then closes immediately.

If I uninstall Node.js and then install webserver22.2.0, 22.2.0 works, but 24.1.0 doesn't.

When a customer has an inquiry about the web server, it would be helpful to be able to switch the version that runs locally to match the version that the customer is using, as this would reduce the burden on our support team. However, this is not a request from a customer, so it is not a high priority for now. Thank you.

Versions of the Flexsim Webserver previous to 24.1 used node.js v8.17.0

The Flexsim Webserver 24.1 has node.js v20.11.1 packaged into the installer. Unfortunately, node.js had some breaking changes sometime between those versions.
