Why do some patients not leave in the attached model?

idbc-triage-room-05-25-2017-th.fsm

In constructing the attached model, I added a patient output graph as an aid in making sure the logic was working properly. This graph is on the Output dashboard labeled Patient Output.

When I repeatedly run the model manually for one day all of the patients exit. But when I run the model with the experimenter, occasionally, one patient will not exit the model in 2 or 3 replications. In looking at the exported data, it seems that the patients get stuck either in the arrivals area or the waiting room in Activity 50. I have also attached the output of running 96 replications in which 4 replications had one patient which did not exit the system —

replication 12 patient 10

replication 25 patient 22

replication 60 patient 41

revocation 73 patient 30

I have identified these patients on the PatientActivityHistory sheet of the attached Excel document. You can also see on the PatientHistory sheet that these patients did not leave the system. (As I couldn't upload an Excel file, I have copied a segment of one sheet to provide an example

I would like to know what is causing this phenomenon or if my analysis is incorrect.

Thanks,

Tee

Have you tried using the explore tab on the experimenter to run the replications that you have questions about?

Thanks, Matthew

Yes, I have tried the Explore Tab several times and have never gotten it to replicate the patient delayed in the process.

This doesn't happen everytime, but I have seen it sporadically when running experiments with a lot of replications. If you look at the System Console output for replications that have a lower output you'll see a bunch of errors about a table not existing. I haven't been able to determine the cause of those errors, but it seems like in certain replications there are some table commands that get a bad reference to a table.

This is a bug on our end that I've fixed for the next bug fix release.
