progress bar in experimenter disappeared

Dear all,

When I start the experimenter, the familiar progress bar from earlier versions is not visible anymore (see screenshot below). Is that a bug or a feature?

The progressbar should show in 18.0.1

Try "View | Open Default Workspace" and then open the experimenter window again.
