how to use setup time for batch processing.

My machine is processing 420 units as a batch. but how do i set up "set up time" for each batch?

I have been trying to use "batch processing" within setup time in my processor, but it does not work.

Software Version:

FlexSim 18.2.2

Hi,

As per your constraint, I have built a sample mode. In which the model will undergo set up time for 10 mins for a batch size of 5. I have mentioned these value in the global table you can change the batch size and cycle time as per your wish. Open up the setup time tab in the processor to view the code.

I have attached the model for your reference.

Yes, the revised version works. I am able to apply the logic to my other complex simulations. Thanks for your help.

Hi Gilbert,

Thank you for trying to help me. I check with the model you built, but it was not quite exactly what I want to achieve. I want my processor to process flow items in batch. The custom code in the setup time is not working. Can you see my attached model and check it again?

The image shoulds that I should be processing 30 units at a time, right? But the simulation is producing only 15 units at a time.

I strongly appreciate your help!

Hi @ wei-ting L

I have attached the model with some small alteration. Have a look at it. This is what you are expecting?. if not, don't hesitate to ask.

Solution: 1) The problem in the model is the label name for set up time and processing time is the same. Now it is been changed.

2) Since the processor undergoes setup time after processing 30 batch the same value(30) should be mention on the setup time tab also.
