How to import 3D graphics in flexsim (for flowitem, machines, containers,...)

Does someone has success in 3D graphics importing in flexsim (for flowitem, machines, containers,...)Which software has been used, on what file format, what is the import procedure to set scale and orientation ?

This is a top feature in FlexSim. And it has its own section in the manual.

If you need animated object you can use the fbx file format of other software packages, the internal animation creator can interact with the material flow and the kinematics can control the material flow, because it returns times how long the animation lasts.

Thanks. Do you recommand a software to create 3D shapes exportable in fbx format.

The manual recommends some software packages in the section Creating Custom Animations

@Pierre B If you just want to import different shapes without needing animations directly take a look at the 3D warehouse for sketchup. Flexsim imports *.skp files until version 2015 very nicely

Other good and simple software is AC3D or the very powerfull and free software (but somewhat complex) Blender.
