Transporter Exception Error in Offset Movement on Loading

I am testing out a possible way of connecting an AStar area (most of the plant) with an AGV Network area so that we can create zones in a WMS.

The model is pretty basic, but I am getting a weird Exception Error as the Transporter on the AGV Network gets to the control point where it will load.

I can't see any obvious problem with my "Travel to Staging" activity. It looks just like another model, which works fine.

In the Event Log, the Transporter receives ts8 (loading) before it finishes ts3(travel). The last thing that happens is "Begin Task: Load at Staging", but after that there are no more events listed in the Event List for this Transporter.

I substituted a regular Task Executer instead of the Transporter and the error went away, so it must have something to do with the offset movement - although the Transporter on the AStar network has no problems!

Is this a fluke or can we not use a Transporter in this situation?

Thanks!

Hi @Claire Krupp,

I am guessing that you are correct and something is buggy with the offset movement. However, an easy way to get around that is to use the "Move Object" activity intead of "Load". I find the "Move Object" activity to be much more robust in application.

See the attached model and pictures:

Thanks @Benjamin W2 I will check that out. I'm guessing I would also have to add a Delay for load time?

I really wanted to see the offset movement of the Transporter. I found out from @Jörg Vogel on another post that using Network Nodes with extended location connectors is a better way to get the result I want.

@Claire Krupp, yes, you would have to use a delay for load time. Let me know if you have any more questions!
