Hello, I have just started using this program and I need to simulate a process where different type of products are processed. Each product has different processing time and it also has different changeover time between one kind of product to another one. I would really apreciate your help!
First, I'd recommend you do the tutorials.
Then you'll see that it's the setuptime and cycletime of a processor that is likely to be the thing you need to change, and luckily there are some standard ones for you to look at that should help you start out.
Double clicking a processor for example:
Then choose the expanding arrow to the right:
Which will give you some options:
Of which for the setup, it sounds like you;d want the From/To Lookup Table which will then give you these fields to enter the table name and type:

I do not know how to create different items in a source because I want to create a pull-system which must work in batches and it does not have to create/insert in the system a different kind of item since the complete batch of the item which is being processed is finished.

I think a process flow with your simulation will give you more flexibility to create this kind of simulation. I highly recommend going through the tutorials. They will give you a great foundation to start your model on. Once you get a model going and have a question about, please post a new question so we can help you as you learn.
Hi, I have just finished the tutorials and tried to figure out how to create the model I need.
Apart from the fact I have not started trying to accept or reject the final product in function of a defined process quality, I will appreciate some help with this too.
I do not know how it is possible to introduce a different time of setup in a process depending on the kind of item it is processing but I would like to have this time of setup just in the first item of each type.
I have seen there are some options for fixing this setup time, one is Value By Case and another one is If Item Label Value Change but I would need a combination of both.

Sure, I attach it.
It is a simple lineal and pull model with 4 stations. I need to fix a setup time the first time I change the processing product.
I also need to introduce a failure rate for the items and two quality controls (1 after the 2nd processor and 1 after the 4th processor) which when they detect a failure product and send them to the 1st processor or to the 3rd one, depending if it has been detected in the 1st or in the 2nd quality control.
