Idea of automatically check in and check out OptQuest license as needed

Hi,

I would like to suggest the feature to automatically check in and check out OptQuest license as needed.

If you have fewer OptQuest licenses (network licenses) than FlexSim enterprise licenses (network licenses), when all clients launch FlexSim, some clients cannot find the OptQuest license. I know that I can manually release my OptQuest license by checking "Only checkout features for license type:", but it's a bit inconvenient.

Ideally, I would like to acquire OptQuest licenses when you really need them (e.g. opening the experimenter tool) and release them when you no longer need them (e.g. closing the experimenter tool).

Considering that the FlexSim license and the OptQuest license are independent of each other, we think this proposal is natural and will be accepted by more Optimizer users.

Thanks, all the best!

@Shinya O, have you checked which methods exist to achieve your request by license management tool for lmtools? I think I saw command line tools for a different licensed program to force outbound licenses back to the license server.

@Shinya O, because license management is a third party software, there is not much you can improve. Currently come to my mind to reduce time of heart beat feauture. Then you can try to exchange an option file to exclude a machine currently using a license. After that you reread the license file. After an elapsed heart beat interval an excluded machine looses its granted license feature. All this can you try to implement in a batch file by command line code.
