Problem with library

Hello,

One client is having an issue adding objects to the 3D from the library. Whenever he tries to do this a pop up message diplays "This feature is not avaliable for this version".

We tried unistalling and installing again, even with a different installer just to be sure it was not corrupted. It worked for a day but next day it has this problem again.

It does not seem not be a license problem, since they have had this problem both with and whitout a license.

Hi @Julio R,

Here are some suggestions:

  • Check the licensing from the main menu > Help > License Activation > License Server tab. Make sure "Only checkout features for license type:" is NOT checked. Even if they are using standalone licensing, it would still apply and limit the license features if it was set to say, Runtime.
  • Make sure their system is up-to-date, try running as Administrator, and the other suggestions listed in our article on installation and startup issues.
  • 3D object problems can sometimes be an indication of underlying graphics issues. Get on the latest-and-greatest graphics driver directly from the graphics hardware vendor (Nvidia/AMD/Intel). Try this and other suggestions from our article on common graphics issues and solutions.

@Julio R we would need to do a webmeeting to check out their computer, ideally with a user who can elevate applications as an administrator.
