Google Translation:

Good morning everyone
I am developing a simulation model for an emergency department, but I have a problem, when the model is executed at maximum speed there comes a time when the waiting room is saturated and therefore a blockage is generated that does not allow patients flow properly. The above is generated since in different parts of the process the patients must return to the same waiting room but since there is no availability of chairs they are blocked, I tried to add rows but I really could not solve it.
How could I solve the blockage that is generated when there is saturation in the waiting room?

Hello @Laura Patricia Martínez ,

If your model is saturated and you cannot add to your wait room anymore, then you could reduce the number of patients coming in.

One other possible solution is to put a max wait timer on your acquire wait room activity. This will affect your statistics for your wait room to not be accurate at times but this seems to free up your model. I implemented this into the attached model.

I randomly decided 100 minutes. You can change that depending on what you think works best for your simulations. The token is released to the next activity which is to walk to the waiting area and then the next acquire activity.
