A Star Network Off Grid Travel

Attached is a simple model. I have one preferred path on grid and one that is shifted off grid. Is there a way to have the AGV follow a preferred path that is at a half grid. I know I can increase the grid size, but I only need this for a very small section of the model. A Star Off Grid Question.fsm

No, the grid is the only thing that actually matters. The preferred paths just modify the underlying grid. So positioning a path between grid nodes doesn't do anything, other than confuse you about which grid nodes its going to modify.

Another option to consider is that you can create a second A* grid side by side with a smaller node spacing or where the grid is offset slightly. You can then use bridges to connect the 2 A* grids.

Thanks @Matthew Gillespie I assumed that was the case. Appreciate the recommendation on an alternate option.
