Hi,
The geometric distribution is available in the command list:
But why is it not available in the distribution chooser ?
Same remark with the hypergeometric distribution: it's in the command list, but not in the distribution chooser.

If you would like to see the two distributions or other distributions added to the list, please create an idea post or send an email to [email protected] for this feature request.

It's not in the list because we haven't put it in the list. There are actually quite a few that aren't included. I counted 38 commands that take a stream argument (indicating that the return value requires randomness), with only 30 shown in that list.
If I had to guess at the reasons for excluding geometric and hypergeometric, I'd say it's because those distributions don't really generate time spans. Instead, they produce a number of attempts or successes. in some particular situation. So they only return integer values. It's hard for me to imagine how to use those in a time field.
Would you like to see the two distributions you mentioned added to the list?
I agree with you about the fact that they don't really generate time spans. However the same list is used on more places, like the assign labels activity in ProcessFlow. In this situation it might be useful to have them in the list, which also holds for the binominal distribution. The binominal distribution is also a something that we have used already multiple time, but it is not in the default list.
Thanks
