Copy and Paste Issues

Hi there

I have built some manual packlane models in a flexsim document and I am trying to paste them into another flexsim document to add them to a larger model. However, when I paste the packlanes across, the 16 combiners (shaped like queues) next to the long conveyor, are not pasting across. The packlane still works perfectly fine once pasted across but I would like to see the combiners themselves. Please refer to relevant images and models below. The first image shows the combiners in the original model. The second photo shows how they disappear when pasted into another model. Also note the error that appears at the bottom. The combiners are attached to the plane so I don't understand why this is happening.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your request is still one of most wished features of users. Copy and paste an actual model block to another model. First try it as a template in your model, which allows to drag a customized object into a model from your library. Because you have build your structure on a plane object already do it with your plane. Once this is working, export your template as an user library object. This library will include customized object shapes and structures automatically binding into an existing FlexSim tree structure. As you may have noticed I have commented my hints.
https://docs.flexsim.com/en/22.1/Using3DObjects/WorkingWith3DObjects/UsingTemplates/UsingTemplates.html

https://docs.flexsim.com/en/22.1/Using3DObjects/CreatingCustomObjectsAnimations/CreatingCustomLibraries/CreatingCustomLibraries.html

As you will notice, both links to manual aren’t short articles. This tells you it is still some work to do to copy a model block into another model, but currently this is a propagated approach in FlexSim. Hopefully someone of FlexSim will assists in your task by an answer. I hinted this only at a beginning of an weekend to give you the chance to advance with your larger model.

Thanks Joerg, when I open the custom library in my larger model and also when I drag the objects to the model, the following error message appears:

Any ideas why this is happening?

I've just tried what you're suggesting in 22.0 and see no errors. Are you mixing FlexSim versions? Can you list the steps you take so that we might be able to reproduce the issue?
