Movement Error in Agent-based Model

Hello FlexSim Practitioners,

As you may see in the attached model file, a problem occurred when I analysed human flow in an agent-system model.

To be more specific, all operators should have walked on the preferred path set between the two dividing walls. However, when the runtime approached approximately 15 seconds, an individual was unable to move around the corner where the cursor in the following photo shows. The stuck person could not move to the preferred path until the rest people walked through it.

Many attempts have been made to solve the issue. For example, we tried to redesign the layout of paths and dividers, but this effort was in vain. Did anyone encounter the problem before? Every suggestion you offer is fully appreciated.

Thank you for your time and review

Try changing your update interval to 0.1seconds (0.3 seconds might be too coarse an approximation to correctly resolve some dynamic systems) and changing the Path Progression Angle to 45 degrees.

Hi Jason,

Thank you for your helpful advice. The adjustment you proposed fixed my problem. After the Path Progression Angle is set to 50 degrees, all humans walk smoothly.
