We seek your assistance in simulating the reworking of items on a 3D processor, rather than using Process Flow.
Lately, a customer whom we contacted asked us about this technical problem, attempting to make the simulation with the existing fixed-resource processor. This issue seems to be a piece of cake if we solve it with the Process Flow feature.
But the customer anticipates something different. Despite the feasibility of this idea in Process Flow, the customer expects a processor with a reworking logic, perhaps a button or an option, meaning he can directly design the reprocessing without difficulties. For example, if a processor breaks down, the item on it will be removed and sent to another place to be either reworked or recycled, with the left process time uncounted. Once reworked, the item will return to the machine, processed with its entire process time calculated again.
In consideration of the complexity of the logic, it seems to this user that it may take some time to become familiar and skillful at Process Flow. Although we have created a model where items can be removed from a machine and reprocessed with Process Flow, the simpler reworking logic of a physical processor seems necessary as it is in demand.
We look forward to hearing ideas and thoughts from you. Thank you.
