There will be a number of ways to do this - one of which would be to first pull from a list (leaving entry on the list) that contains an entry when on-shift and does not when offshift. Place your token/item/job pull after the 'onshift' pull. This way you will start immediately when the shift events push to the on-shift list.

Attached is an example that uses the Timetable to push/pull to the Global List - "OnShift"
