How do you stop material being added to a queue before its empty?

Hi

How do you stop material being added to a queue before the previous batch has been processed?

It just keeps stacking on top!

I've tried triggers to no avail. I'm struggling. I can't use process flows, just the 3D model only.

I've tried to attach the model below:

Sample Production.fsm

Sample Production.fsm

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In the queue properties select "Flush contents between batches":

I've tried this and it's still stacking them. I saw it on a forum.

I've tried to open and close the ports as another post suggested but i'm not getting this correct either.

I've only been on the software 2 days to be honest so it's probably an easy fix but i'm not getting it yet.

Thanks

But the model you uploaded doesn't have that setting switched on, so we'll need a bit more information about what you want to happen vs. what you're seeing specifically for that model before we can help you further.

If you've only been using FlexSim for 2 days then I suggest going through the tutorials in the manual.

Apologies, i've been playing about with it all day so the model has mvoed on. Not painting myself in a lot of glory here am i.

Is there a way to set batch sizes depending on where the item comes from, or have multiple batch sizes per queue for inputs?

Ah... the problem is my batch sizes.

I have six materials with different batch sizes. I set it to the highest which obviously creates issues.
