How to avoid collision when AGV is pushing trailers (60+)?

There are multiple paths, crossovers and stations in between two points P1 and P2. Multiple Trains with trailers (60+) are traveling in between P1 and P2. Few Trains are pulling the trailers and few are pushing the trailers.

How to avoid collisions?

When Trains are pulling trailers then it allocate Control Points and Control Areas, so issues of collision is not so big.

But, when Trains are pushing trailers then trailers moves ahead of AGV. So, it does not allocate Control Points and Control Areas on which trailers are either moving or passed.

@OJé Jhhen, do you build your model upon Railworks, a 3rd party module from FlexSim Brasil? If you haven't done it, perhaps it would be worth to look at this module, because it is designed to build railway networks.

Points gets allocated.

AGV trailer stopps at last available Point.

Yes, AGV stops at last available point and try to allocate next CP/CA to reach its final destination.

But, AGV (with 60+ trailers) doesn't behave like this if it has to stop some where in the system for some process and there are other AGVs (with 60+ trailers) running on parallel tracks and crossovers and Unfortunately, few crossovers are placed where AGV (with 60+ trailers) has to stop.

kindly check the image for details. There is a private question related to this scenario.collisionagv-pushingtrailers.jpg

One way of avoiding collision is to use "Zone". Challenge in using "Zone" for this kind of scenarios is that its complexity increases multifold by increasing number of crossovers between tracks.
