turn an existing model in to VR mode

Hi flexsim community,

I have worked on a model, previously. Now I would like to showcase the model to one of our clients in VR mode. Is there any possibility to turn the existing model in to VR mode?

If yes please direct me in that way

thanks in advance.

You should not need to do anything if your hardware is up to the task. Just install everything needed for the hardware to run with Oculus/Meta or SteamVR and then enable VR mode in the view properties.

If you don't get the frame rate you need, then you can consider:

  • reducing the polygon count of your model,
  • changing /adding more levels of detail to your objects
  • applying frustrum culling
  • changing the view focus to a sub-hierachy of the model - the section you want to showcase (note contained conveyors and virtualized objects will not draw correctly at the moment if you do this).
  • updgrading your PC hardware
