Logarithmic distribution

Hi all,

The result of an automated fitting performed with ExperFit was the Logarithmic Series distribution. However, when I attempted to obtain the parameters for this distribution, a message appeared stating: "This distribution is not available in the current version of FlexSim".

I checked and found that the logarithmic distribution is available as a command, although it is not listed in the options.

Is this an error with ExperFit?

Thank you!

ExpertFit is third-party software. It comes with FlexSim, but can also be purchased separately from the original provider:

When ExpertFit initially added support for FlexSim, FlexSim didn't have a logarithmic distribution, so this error message was true then. Because this is third-party software, the developers at FlexSim are unable to make changes to ExpertFit. As far as I know, there have been no updates or changes to ExpertFit for many years, so this is unlikely to change in the future.

To get a logarithmic model from ExpertFit for use in FlexSim, consider changing the Simulation Software field to another option. Then read the documentation for the other software to see how they treat parameters. You may need to swap the order of parameters or use reciprocal values. However, for this particular distribution, it seems likely you could use the distribution directly.
