I am working on a paint line model and aiming to minimize energy consumption by controlling the burner variables of two furnaces. The burners should turn on or off depending on the time the piece enters the furnace and the number of pieces entering, ensuring that the furnace reaches the desired temperature by the time the first piece arrives.
Additionally, the gas pressure is variable and random, so the lighting time for the burners must be adjusted according to this pressure. Essentially, I need the model to learn when to light the burners based on the fluctuating gas pressure and the fixed conveyor speed and distance to minimize energy usage.
I would appreciate any guidance on how to achieve this in FlexSim.
