Exception: HTML Frame Load Error 37

This morning I gave a simulation course in an engineering school. They have a LAN license installed. On startup, 6 out of 8 students got the exception below in the System Console:

exception: HTML Frame Load Error 37 Encountered: Couldn't read a file:// file

The same exception throws up if they try to open the User Manual. They can add a dashboard, but the exception throws up every time they try to drag & drop a graph on the dashboard.

What could cause this exception ?

FlexSim 16.0.1

FlexSim 7.7 and 2016 have a bug where they can't access the AppData directory correctly if the logged in username contains Unicode characters. This bug is causing the HTML Frame Load Error 37 message that you are seeing.

It is on our development list to update the AppData path code to handle Unicode characters correctly to prevent this error in the future.

@phil.bobo I see that FlexSim 2016 Update 1 has just been released. Is this bug corrected in this new update?

We're still looking into how to best solve this issue. It is not fixed yet.

Thank you very much Phil, I've seen in the release notes of the bugfix update FlexSim 16.0.3 (August 2, 2016) that you "Fixed an HTML Frame Load Error for user accounts with Unicode characters by changing programdatadir() to again use ProgramData instead of AppData."
