You can use a combiner for packing flowitems into totes or pallets as per Jason's answer. This works great if your operators work at a station and the picks come to them. If, however, your operators are walking around racks to pick up the orders, it gets a little more complicated. I've attached a really simple picking model of an operator grabbing picks from a rack. I use Process Flow to handle all of the logic of where the operator moves and what he picks. If you're planning on doing warehouse picking, you'll want to get familiar with Process Flow. It will make your life much easier.
Hi Matt,
I just updated and attached your model as there is a "Release" activity missing that causes the operator to only load one tote.5062-loadtotes-update.fsm
Hi Seyda,
Here is a small model showing how you can use the Combiner Object to pack items (Box flow items) into a Tote.
The model has 4 queues that are for the 4 different product types.
The combiner has a source attached to input port 1. This tote has the ability to select 3 different order types as set out in the global table called orders. The type is determined by the itemtype that i set at the source on the creation trigger. 20170208-combiner-model.fsm
I hope this model helps you.
