How to input data to Source using excel, data is spread across various dates.

model.zip

Dear Community members,

I am trying to calculate machine occupancy rate spread across a month.

The readings are taken in a specific time interval everyday. I tried to use "Arrival Schedule" in Arrival Style and then using excel option, imported the data. But when Arrival Date is in the first column the model doesn't run.

It would be of great help to know the other procedures to update the data according to date.

Thanks

Ani,

the Arrival table format of the Source requires the Arrival time being one value based upon model time units. In the model attached I have used a ProcessFlow to get the timing right. Be aware, that I adjusted the model date and time format to the format in the GlobalTable you provided. The calculation of the arrival time is done in the "Calculate next Arrival" activity.

I just noticed that you posted your question in the FlexSim HC section. I moved it into the FlexSim section.

Good Luck

Ralf
