FlexSim standard has supported Oculus Rift since version 7.7 (November 2015), and Oculus Touch Controllers since version 17.1 (soon to be released). HTC Vive support is also arriving with FlexSim 17.1.

The problem is not that we don't want to support VR in FlexSim HC, but rather that FlexSim HC is built against the FlexSim 7.5 engine, and therefore predates any VR support. FlexSim HC development continues on that 7.5 engine branch, and therefore will not support VR any time soon.

However, there is ongoing work to create a healthcare-style offering using the latest engine, and more strongly couple its development with FlexSim standard's. This will allow FlexSim HC (or however the updated product will be branded) to keep up with new features added to the FlexSim Engine and take advantage of tools and methods that are available in standard FlexSim (hello Process Flow).

There is no release timeline for the overhaul, so don't purchase an Oculus headset in anticipation, but the idea is that eventually all FlexSim development will be integrated, marrying development of standard FlexSim with HC and our other first party modules. This should ensure that all the latest features are available for all our products.
