OptQuest - Design Decision Variable Type

I would like to know more about Optimization using the Design option as a decision variable selected at OptQuest Optimizer Design Tab.

When and how use this option?
Is there a simple example about it?

Regards for your comments.

Rodrigo,

DesignVariables are pointing to options which are not quantifiable. E.g. you can use them to point to different layouts or select between different model logic. Does that make sense? Here is, what OptTek's help says on that:
http://www.opttek.com/documentation/v65engine/OptQuest%20Engine%20Documentation/WebHelp/Defining_decision_variables.htm

Best wishes

Ralf
