Importing construction files into a shape.

Hello guys,

We have a costumer which has a 3d construction in AutoDesk/CATIA the product we want to import is made out of a lot components.
The problem is when we import the product the shape just gets the look of one component and not of the product.

We tried to import the product in different formats like .stp or .isg, none of that worked.

In the attached files you can see our problem.

Thank you in advance.

Have you tried to make digital mockup from the assembly? Then you have the surface of the assembly in a part. The export format must be able to assign materials and colors.

This look like all parts of the assembly are placed by their origin in one point.

Thank you, we tried with the Mockup but it did not work.

So we made a ipd file where the whole product will be displayed as one part.

So flexsim can read the file and import it, now it works fine.
