3D Model original color

I´m trying to import a model from AutoCAD to Flexsim. Currently I convert the model to .stl to be able to import it and I change the 'Shape' form with this file. But the result is a gray 3D model of my layout. If I want to change the color it changes the entire model. What I'm trying to do is for the model to maintain it's original colors.

How can I do this?

If I export it directly from AutoCAD with .dwg the shapes are kind of lost.

Thank you

The STL file format does not contain material information about the shape's color.

The DWG shapes should come in fine. Please post an example, including the DWG file and a screenshot of what it looks like in AutoCAD. You can post a new private question if the shape file is confidential.
