How to rotate an object that is generated by a source

Building a model to simulate truck traffic at a port; when I upload the specific truck type that I want to use in .skp format as an object, it comes out sideways onto the conveyor. How can I change the settings so that it comes out of the source onto the conveyor nose first?

Double click on the Conveyor's Entry Transfer and edit its Item Orientation property to set the direction that the item is rotated when put on the conveyor:

Thanks to all who took the time to reply with feedback. Editing the orientation properties on the conveyor entry transfer point did the trick.

Adjust the shape factors.

yo

You find the offset matrix of the shape under the Edit Button of the option Shape Factors. Sometime it is necessary to adjust the rotation of 2 values to get the desired result: rotation of x and z. The Size values should at least contain a value differing from 0.00. Typically you start with 1.00 all matrix fields of the size.

Since the object is a flowitem, you adjust the properties in the Flowitem Bin.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. However, when I adjust it 90 degrees in the flow item bin, it still comes out sideways. I've also rotated it 180 and 270 degrees, and it rotates in the flow item bin, but when generated always comes out in the same sideways direction.

Thanks again for your help. Unfortunately no parameter changes I make to the X, Y, or Z axis have any effect when I run the model. The effect is immediate in the flow item bin, but once I reset and run the model, the truck comes out sideways every time, regardless of what changes I made to it's rotation in the flow item bin.

And you are absolutely sure you pressed the edit button and closed the properties window with OK! It isn't the same looking matrix at the bottom of the properties window you must use for the changes. You have to select the right and changed Flowitem in the source to get the item created.

here is my test with a skp media file. One shape is standard to copied box and the other is a bit rotated shape inside another item.
