SQL connection Problem - Error Code 2

I tried to follow the step-by-step SQL tutorial but i can`t get it to work.

I used mySQL workbench (oracle) to set up the database (is a schema the same as a database?) and the tables like i was told in the tutorial.

I also filled in the code as mentioned in the tutorial and ran the simulation.
But that just throws an error and FlexSim crashes:

(Transl: The name of the data-source was not found and it is no standard driver stated.)

I searched the Q&A and installed the ODBC driver/connector, but the issue remained untouched.
Can anybody suggest what I'm doing wrong?

Hi @Philip Diem,

Are you using the tutorial in the version 2017 User's Manual? It doesn't really adequately cover configuring your ODBC data source (okay, so it doesn't mention it at all :(.

Steps 21-24 of this MySQL+ODBC tutorial cover creating and configuring your ODBC data source using Windows' ODBC Data Source Administrator. It's likely that you still need to do these steps.

FlexSim's User Manual was completely rewritten for version 2017 Update 2, and while this new User Manual does not yet have an ODBC+SQL tutorial, we'll make sure that when one is added it will more fully cover this topic.
