HI @Rani Maria T

You would need to give more information than that for anyone to be able to answer your question. What is it more specifically that you want to model?

Hi @Axel Kohonen

I am building a brick laying process model for a building construction in which the process includes collecting bricks and mortar and transporting to the location of brickwork.Bricks are laid in position using mortar mix with the help of operators.

The aim of simulation is to reduce the delay time of brickwork due to variables like inter arrival time of mortar and bricks.

How can i create a flexscript of this model ?

Thanks in advance

Hi @Rani Maria T

I am not sure that I fully understand what you want to do yet. So the operators take the bricks and mortar and place them in a certain position (x,y and z coordinate) and then take the next brick and place it in the next position?

Then you want to see when to bring the bricks and mortar to make the brickwork as fast as possible? Is the brickwork sometimes delayed since the bricks or mortar are late? Is the visualization important?

If the above assumptions are true and for a simple and not very visual model I would advise you to make the model so that a source creates the bricks and mortar according to a certain schedule (for example by inter arrival time) and connect the source to a queue. From the queue the operators take the bricks and then walk to a certain position where they leave the bricks and delay for a certain amount of time. Then they repeat the process. A simple model like this should be rather easy to create using process flow.

If the visualization is important then you need to make the operators walk to a certain position (travel to loc) and then unload the bricks into the model and then place the bricks at a certain position. And if you have multiple operators working at the same time it also makes it more complex.

I advise you to do the FlexSim tutorials if you have not already.

Hopefully this helps a little bit at least!

Hi @Axel Kohonen

Thank you for the quick reply. Your assumptions were right. I'll go through the FlexSim tutorials for further modelling.
