How can Flexsim help me to simulate a cobot and a human?

I am working as an Intern in a manufacturing organization in Germany where recently they want to work with Simulation of Collaborative Robots and Humans in the assembly line to measure the the impact on throughput and productivity. For Simulation. FlexSim will be used. I have certain queries like: How can the task dependencies be handled in Flexsim when a Human and Cobot works together in the assembly line? I would like to know how can i proceed with Flexsim for doing a simulation between the Cobot and Human

@Titli D

Flexsim has the coordinate task sequence feature of two task executers and this QnA forum site has many the samples or demos and answers about your issue.

You can search the good solutions by keyword of 'coordinated task sequence'.

@david.seo My major concern before starting the project is how task dependencies can be handled in Simulation using Flexsim. If you can share any link where I can get a clear idea how to proceed further will be really a great help.

As @david.seo, has explained the coordination of several operators is done by the coordinate task sequence. A task sequence describes the action of a taskexecuter. That can be an operator, a worker, a vehicle or a robot. Typically one action is the move of the complete robot or worker to a location or an object. You can influence the move of the robot with one axis or the coordinate move of several joints, but that is the direct manipulation of the kinematic model of the robot by code. If you just need the move to a location or an object, that is possible to learn in a few hours. The coordinate task sequence combines several taskexecuters actions by setting synchronize tasks. Another possible programm feature is ProcessFlow a graphical enhanced programming feature. A ProcessFlow can control the move of the taskexecuters as well. You can use activities that uses the coordinated task sequence and you have additional activities to synchronize actions and conditions, waiting for events, split and join. And you find modules created by the distributors which enhance the standard Flexsim functionality, for example ErgoSim by FlexCon. Please contact them to find out the conditions to use those additional features and modules or their limits.
