Hardware requirements

Hello,

What is the min requirements recommended by flexSim to run it smoothly on Laptop?

We plan to order new laptop, and have FlexSim on it, HP is the brand of IT equipment we use in KOSTAL

We normally build models with few hundred objects, mostly queues, processes, conveyors, combiners separators, sources and sinks..

In addition to the minimum and recommended specs mentioned above, there is also a deeper discussion of the various components and how they relate to your FlexSim modeling here:

For your new laptops, I would recommend:

  • a current-gen Intel Core i-7
  • Nvidia Geforce 1060 or higher
  • 16 GB RAM or more
  • SSD storage

Your actual needs may vary, but a laptop with those specs will be a pleasure to work with.

Could you just confirm if this config should be fine for FlexSim

HP Zbook 17 G3 C i7 6820HQ 32gb

Hi @Blazej T,

I assume your model has the Nvidia Quadro? This should work fine with FlexSim. Just make sure to install the latest graphics driver and follow the Quadro-specific suggestions outlined in our Graphics considerations article.
