why is a different image not working in my new library?

library.jpgHi, I created a new object library. I borrowed the standard sphere for my new objects, but when tried to tweak it a little bit by changing the sphere's colors to blue, green and red using a different png, it no longer loads the image.

Attached a snapshot with the new library, the image name in the visual>picture node and the image in the bitmaps folder. Also, what path can I use for those images for better portability, to move the model from computer to computer (and not meddle with the bitmaps folder).

Looking in the FlexSim 2018 Update 2 bitmaps folder, I cannot find the bitmap that you want to use. I don't think it is present in later versions of FlexSim. The screenshot you shared shows the FlexSim 2018 folder (not Update 2), so later versions of the software appear to not have that picture.

You could copy that picture into the Update 2 bitmaps folder (which requires administrator permission), and then I believe your example would work.

If you are distributing your library, you should be able to add the picture you want to the libraries directory (similar to the bitmaps directory). Users would need to add the .fsl file and all other files. But then your picture attribute could say

libraries/myPic.png

or

libraries/MyLibMedia/myPic.png

You are right. I had not looked into the Update 2. I put it there and it works perfectly! Thank you.
