Process Flow Delay Between Task Executers

Hello,

I am working on a simple model composed by 3 transporters, 3 queues and 2 network nodes. The forklifts need to complete a set of tasks, loading and unloading items and traveling from one object to another. I have used Task Executer Process Flow to define the task sequence. I attach model. teflow.fsm

The 3 transporters start the task sequence almost at the same time. Is it possible to delay the transporters, so that each one starts the task sequence in different times, in this kind of Process Flow? Should I use a different kind of Process Flow instead?

Thank you,

Idoia

Hi Idoia,

You can easily add a short delay to the start of your task executer processflow. This delay could have a distribution as its delay time giving each transporter a different starting time. It could also read a delay time off a label on each transporter to have dem delay a specific time.

Giving the Task Executer Delay Activities in your flow similar distributions (rather than just 2 and 5 seconds) would randomize the delay time between tasks further.

you could also add distributions to the load and unload times of each transporter, to further randomize the time it takes each transporter to complete its task.

Best regards
Martin
