Oracle Database Connection Error: ORA-12514

Hi all,

one of our customers is trying to connect to an Oracle Database through the Connectivity module. They are succesful connecting to a local database, however when tryint to connect to a remote database they are getting this error:

ORA-12514 TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

Does anyone has experience with this that might suggest the reason/solution?
In the image, the GO= configuration refers to the local server (connection succesful), the NAME= Configuration refers to the remote server.

Are you still having troubles connecting? I looked up that error message and it seems to be a very general error message for the Oracle DB, I would suggest going through some of the suggestions other sites have as well.
