Making equal gaps between packages on conveyor

sample-gap-model.fsmHi,
I have slug building conveyors that merge into a conveyor. I use gap optimizer to release the slugs. I want to make the gaps between any two consecutive packages of a "released slug" to be equal to 16 inches, regardless of the arrival distribution/schedule of the source of packages that feeds the merge lines. How can I do this? I have attached my sample model.

You can do this by editing your Slug Builder's conveyor type properties like so:

These values determine the distance between the front of one item and the front of another, so this will space them by the first item's length + 16 inches. For more information on Stopping Space, Moving Space and Entry Space, see this page in the manual: CONVEYOR TYPES
