getting NULL error while using the rank requirement

Hi I am using the attached model to give priority of items on conveyor 3 vs conveyor 4. I am using the pull strategy with specific rank requirement. I am using rank 1 which is where port conveyor 3 is tied to. it seems to work except I get a NULL error.

I worked at this for awhile, and I count not figure out why it was giving you an exception. I think some setting may have been changed when you were creating it.

The pull strategy can be used for item types, but it is more for ports. In the model I have attached, you can see I have no pull strategy or push strategy, but it still sorts by item type. This is the default for choosing which type to pull. pull-by-type.fsm
